Wokingham Housebuilder Rings In The Lunar New Year With Feng Shui Ground Blessing

Ashridge Grange Wokingham's Chinese New Year Feng Shui blessing ceremony

To welcome the Year of the Rabbit, known for symbolising peace, longevity and hope, we were invited to perform a traditional Feng Shui ground blessing for residents at David Wilson Homes’ Ashridge Grange development in Wokingham. Our Lunar New Year celebrations saw a number of representatives from Wokingham Town Council attend, including Cllr Maria Gee, Wokingham Town Mayor.

Hosted by Master Charlotte Frejya-Richwoods, the ceremony was the first ground blessing to have been commissioned at Ashridge Grange. The purpose of the event was to wish harmony and balance for the new homeowners, while bringing a renewed positive energy to the land in preparation for the year ahead.

The ceremony began with a cleansing chanting of the Great Compassion Dharani (大悲咒 Da Bei Zhou) to promote a prosperous and auspicious year ahead, followed by a ground blessing of consecrated Nine Phoenix Fu talisman water. The space was then cleared and blessed by the ringing of the sacred Vajra bell and Dorje, accompanied by hand mudras; while offerings of smelling incenses, fruit, flowers and tea were made to the Tudi Gung 土地公 Earth Deity following the traditional Chinese methods observed in South East Asia.

Master Charlotte Frejya-Richwoods is a global dharma propagator for True Buddha School, the lineage founded by His Holiness Living Buddha Lian Sheng with over 5 million students worldwide.

Following taking initiation as a direct student with His Holiness personally in 1997, she created a number of key digital learning resources for True Buddha School including the original TBSN website (from 1998-2007), Padmakumara.org (2000-2007) and TrueBuddhaSutra.org. She is admin of the popular True Buddha Dharma Discussion Facebook group, a group helping those learning True Buddha School practices in English.
