If you look at where you are and compare it to what you think you are capable of, is there a big difference between your ability and your outcome?

I sincerely believe that most people start out life thinking that they want to make the world a better place for their having existed. Soon after this thought arises, usually in our early teens, we get pushed into a world of bills, work and relationships. Before we know it, we're struggling just to stay afloat ourselves, let alone save others from downing!

And yet how quickly the days turn into years and our precious human life goes flashing by before our eyes. Will we ever do anything other than be born, consume, struggle to find happiness and then die? What is this invisible force that keeps us down, only able to achieve little things of no great consequence? Why is it so hard to do anything truly meaningful with our lives, or to find something that gives us lasting happiness?

Karmic law tells us we all incarnated for a reason. We are here for a purpose and came specifically to take on certain burdens and problems. The problem is that as we reincarnate, we lose the memory of what and why.

As we go through life stumbling around in the darkness, trying to find our life purpose, the tendency is to become increasingly lost, spending a life firefighting rather than tackling the root causes of our challenges.

I truly believe in people and I believe in you. I believe your life is not by chance, nor is it lacking in meaning. You have incarnated and appeared in this life for good reason. There are clues to this written in the stars, on your hands, in your eyes and on your face.

With the help of someone skilled at reading the clues, a spiritual friend and guide, finding your way to a life rich with meaning and purpose that brings benefits to countless beings is a very real prospect. Of course such a life will make you feel fulfilled and happy because you would become a source of happiness for others.

For myself, I knew from very young that I wanted to learn the great Eastern wisdom traditions. I got my first taste of it training in martial arts with pioneering masters like Moria Higaonna, George Andrews, and Paul Coleman.

Then I met Angela, who introduced me to True Buddha School and His Holiness Living Buddha Lian Sheng, Grandmaster Lu. I took refuge aged 20 and joined their team producing their English TBSN website a year later before designing Padmakumara.org, a site designed to help the growing English student community access translations readily. I couldn't get enough and founded Rising Dragon Feng Shui with Angela in 2000, studying Feng Shui and BaZi from her as well as many others over time.

More recently, I was requested to run the True Buddha Dharma Discussion Facebook group, a group which has since grown to over 4,000 participants from around the world who range from complete newbies to buddhism through to monks, masters and even a few recognised enlightened living buddhas!

Through this group, many people have taken up practice and even more have significantly improved their faith, wisdom and level of realisation. With the right skills and mindset, they're able to apply the teachings to free themselves and others from suffering lastingly.

Naturally, working with a great many people there and through Rising Dragon Feng Shui has given me ample opportunity to develop my skills in supporting others on their journey towards self-realisation. It is a great privilege to have so many learned and gifted practitioners around me, in addition to the branch gurus I had like Dr Klinghardt and Chogyal Namkhai Norbu, on top of the brilliant guidance of Grandmaster Lu.

In my life, I experienced many tears but by following the teachings of the great wisdom traditions, specifically those transmitted to me directly by His Holiness Living Buddha Lian Sheng, my soul now radiates rainbow lights.

His Holiness has millions of students around the world. Whilst it is possible to see him and gain blessings and empowerments directly, his schedule, as you would expect, doesn't allow him time to tutor newcomers one on one. That's where I come in! They teachings His Holiness taught me are to work to help free all sentient beings from suffering, and to give them happiness and the causes of happiness whilst treating all with equality and equinimity.
