Why is Sun Chlorella considered the purest Chlorella? And why does it matter?
Chinese grown chlorella is known for being the cheapest as it’s grown in China’s heavily polluted water. Chlorella, by it’s very nature, traps toxins within itself, so this creates a product that can easily put more toxins into a person’s body than it removes.
Sun Chlorella grow their chlorella in their own farms in Indonesia. The clean environment and abundant sunshine make for the ideal conditions to grow chlorella that is naturally pure and suitable for clinical and therapeutic applications.
The late famous American naturopathic doctor, Dr Bernard Jensen, was so taken by his clinical experience with it, he arranged a tour of Sun Chlorella’s facilities and production techniques at a time (late 80s) when chlorella use wasn’t well known outside of Asia. He went on to devote an entire book called “Chlorella: Gem of the Orient” to the benefits of chlorella and included many photographs he took of the Indonesian farms as well as the Japanese factories that sound treat it. It may still be possible to buy a copy of this book second hand.
Why is Sun Chlorella considered the most bio-available?
Chlorella has a hard outer cell wall which is completely undigestible by humans – if you eat chlorella in it’s original form, it would just go in one end and out the other without giving any benefits whatsoever! Inside the cell are all the rich nutrients and the highly desirable CGF (Chlorella Growth Factor). Further, it is the only if the cell is ruptured and split that chlorella can provide it’s detoxifying properties.
The solution most use is to mill the dried chlorella in the hopes of splitting the cells so that the contents become available. This is a cheap and easily available way but it means many of the cells don’t split and just create expensive poop. Of those that do split, some of the nutrient content will be damaged. Others use chemicals, an even harsher method that causes greater degradation of quality and nutrition.

Why take chlorella?
Chlorella is a microscopic freshwater single celled algae, and one of the oldest surviving forms of life o earth. It is extremely nutrient dense and contains 60% protein as well as Chlorella Growth Factor (CGF), a highly desirable RNA and DNA complex that helps cellular regeneration.
A study performed in Switzerland looked at treating children with difficult autistic symptoms using chlorella and megadoses of over 500g a day were used in that study without any detrimental side effects. Chlorella – provided it is from a pure source such as this – is therefore considered general safe to take in high doses for therapeutic use and well tolerated by the majority.
The standard doses Sun Chlorella give are 15-40 a day.
Dr Klinghardt often advised that Chlorella be taken in split doses, 30 minutes before each meal so as to have optimal effects.
On a maintenance dose of 15 a day, that works out as 5 half an hour before breakfast, lunch and dinner.
A common therapeutic dose would be twice that, 10 prior to each meal. If one forgets, just take them as soon as you remember.
