Touring with Grandmaster Yap Cheng Hai
At 77 years old, Grandmaster Yap Cheng Hai is not only one of the
world's most famous Feng Shui masters. To describe him that way
only touches on the tip of the iceberg! Master Yap is also a multi-millionaire
businessman with hugely successful businesses in aggregates. He
is reknown for the number of other millionaires he has created -
those of you involved in the Feng Shui world will know that Lillian
Too, South East Asias first female CEO, had her successes and went
on to being such a prolific writer after Grandmaster Yap had consulted
for her.

He's also a family man with three grown children, and a Grandmaster
of Wushu Chinese Martial Arts with students who've grown up to become
Kung Fu masters around the globe. He is a practicing Buddhist, having
learned Tibetan Buddhism from one of Grandmaster Sheng-yen Lu's
teachers. It's also worth mentioning that beneath the fiery temprement
that accompanies many old-style Wushu masters like him, is an incrediably
caring, honest and dignified man who sees beauty in the world and
believes in humanity. He is a truly special person, and his energy
and enthusiasm belie his years.
Grandmaster Yap was the UK to teach a number of students and to
meet several friends like the Five Ancestors Style Master, Sifu
Han. We were delighted to join his teaching and then to be his hosts
as we toured the country. Here are some of the photos from our tour:

is not down you're not coming in!

Only joking!

Master Yap and Angela are not only teacher and student, they're
also great friends. In fact Master Yap knew Angela's ancestor, Master
Ang.

After Oxford, we headed for Wales so that Grandmaster Yap could
give practical instruction on mountains and the elements of the
land.

When Grandmaster Yap goes out, the sun comes too. The weather was
wonderful. Master Yap jokes that it is because he helped an American
Indian Shaman before!

After a short Feng Shui Tour in Buckingham, we went to London and
the open top tour buses and river cruises provided us with the ideal
opportunity to look at the significance of further sights. This
shot was taken in Greenwich by the Cutty Sark, a famous clipper
that plied the oceans to bring home the finest teas from China.

The new home of the Mayor of London viewed from the Thames. Master
Yap has studied great architectural sites around the world. For
instance, the Taj Mahal is built on a foundation of coins. While
this seems flamboyant, it isn't. Why? Because if an earthquake were
to occur, the coins would allow some give. However buildings which
are built for fashion present many issues..

"The Pyramids are of great interest to me as they are of spiritual
significance", says Grandmaster Yap as we visit his Mummy friends
at the British Museum. In years gone people were able to travel
freely through different dimensions. However nowdays, people's hearts
are heavy with greed, hatred and ignorance and this prevents most
people from realising the powers that are latent within them. The
Egyptians had access to these.

Why do Kung Fu Masters always get associated with gangsters? After
shopping on Bond Street we went for Siu Yuk and Rice in
Bayswater before going to see the musical, Bombay Dreams

Before Grandmaster departed for Kuala Lumpar, we went to see one
of his old friend, Master Han. Master Han has not only impressive
skills in the Ngo Cho style, he also cooks an impressive Gai
Fun (Chicken Rice). We thank him for his hospitality. Sadly
after all these snaps, our cameras batteries died on us and left
us without a photo of him!
