TV Quick Magazine John Stapleton Yin-Yang Ducks Feature

John Stapleton is a long standing TV presenter with over 30 years work to his name. His credits include Nationwide (BBC), TV-am, BBC London Plus (BBC), Watchdog (BBC) (with his wife!), Newsline (Sky News), The Time the Place (ITV) to name but a few.

John can now be seen presenting the News Hour on GMTV between 6 and 7 am each weekday morning. The March 29th Issue of TV Quick Magazine saw a tour of his Twickenham home.

John has been married to Lynn Faulds Wood for more than 20 years. They have one son, Nicholas. Despite their high profile life and the ordeal they went through when Lynn was diagnosed with cancer eight years ago, the couple are still firmly together… so it should come as no surprise to hear that one of the things they collect is pairs of ducks! These ducks symbolise love, romance and fidelity and are one of the most popular of Feng Shui charms.

The following was extracted from the article published by TV Quick after their tour of his home and shows some of the things he and his wife collect.

Update

17 years on from this magazine feature, John and his wife Lynn were still together when she passed away suddenly due to a massive stroke. She had previously survived multiple cancers and passed away peacefully with husband and son by her side.

Huge thank you to the hundreds and hundreds of people who have paid tribute to Lynn. A wonderful mother to Nick, a loving and hugely supportive wife to me and a campaigning journalist on so many fronts who really made a difference to the world we live in. We’ll miss her always

We too would like to thank John and Lynn, not least for showing the world that true love is something precious and still exists – a couple can be devoted to each other life long, through ups and downs. They both had fame and fortune, things which are often said to corrupt individuals, yet they remained loyal and faithful through the test of time, thereby showing themselves to be of impeccably good character. May their example inspire others to find their matching duck for life and enjoy the happiness it brings.
