Why Should You Use Feng Shui?

Feng Shui is an ancient art, but as the modern world is evolving so fast, is Feng Shui still relevant? The modern world presents to us a vast array of complicated challenges. In the thousands of years of mankind’s development, who before has had to deal with having a mortgage, keeping a job in an uncertain world and give the kids the kind of support and guidance they need to be successful? And on top of that we’re supposed to be happy, beautiful and healthy? If the modern world is so different from the world in which Feng Shui was created, can it help you today?

Monk at a temple

In the days of the ancients, wise elders pondered deep questions. Questions like why are we here? What causes things to happen to us? Chinese call this the search for the perfect wisdom, and their profound insight led them to understand that there are Four Influences in life. Two of these, like being in the right place at the right time, are hard to control. In fact, to an outsider, they seem like they stem from luck alone. Two of the Four Influences are directly within our control, Feng Shui being one of these. Feng Shui is the scientific analysis of the cause and effect of energies in the environment. That means that we can learn to live in harmony with nature and use the flow of energies within it to our advantage. And what that really means to you is that the use of Feng Shui can help you take control of your life and be the best that you possibly can be.

Most people concede that living next door to a rubbish dump or beside a nuclear power station has the potential to exert a negative influence over one’s environment. They might even say that yes, having to work in an office which is only slightly more hospitable than a fluorescent hell, can lead to a downturn in motivation and productivity. But can the claims that Feng Shui can change so much in our life be substantiated?

Feng Shui is a Chinese scientific study with thousands of years of background research behind it. One of the things that the ancient Chinese are so famous for is their diligent preservation of historic records in a written format. In fact Chinese history is one of the best documented of all ancient cultures. They applied this exact same methodology to Feng Shui. Studies were conducted by empirical research; this means that Feng Shui masters checked hundreds of houses to see if they had a certain Feng Shui formation there. If it was there, they checked with the occupants to see if their life was exhibiting a certain trend. Whilst there are huge volumes written in Chinese, as big as the Encyclopaedia Britannica, very little of this information is available in English. But that doesn’t mean that thousands of years of documented research doesn’t exist! It does, and as more quality information becomes available in English people are become far more aware of the scientific basis of Feng Shui. Ask yourself this:

  • Does success leave clues? Are there certain traits, or specific things that are common to successful people and businesses?

  • If there is a formula for success, doesn’t that imply that there is a rational strategy for basing our efforts?

  • How do you deduce a formula for success? Isn’t it by checking with as many successful people as possible for similarities?

Celebrity icon, Pamela Anderson

By following or modelling others, many people have become hugely successful. Look at how many Pamela Anderson look-alikes there are today. How many bands can you name that seem to ape one another? Can you see many other types of Cola at the supermarket? Simply put success does leave clues and the same can be said in Feng Shui. There are houses which will bring good fortune and blissful times to their owners; there are also houses which will cause endless suffering. While you could try analysing thousands of houses yourself to see if it is true, it would take a long time for you to develop your research into a useful system. The only way you can cut out hundreds of years of research time is tap into the studies already conducted by the lineage masters of Feng Shui. There are formulas for success, and in Feng Shui we already know many of them. By studying traditional Feng Shui yourself, or by hiring us as your classically trained consultants, you’ll be able to apply the formula for success to yourself immediately.
